I don’t recall having actually seen this movie before, though there were a couple of scenes that looked familiar, so I think I’ve seen bits and pieces of it in the past.
This film was a good one to watch to get into the mood for Christmas. It was interesting to see the origins of Santa Claus in this film. I particularly liked Patch as a character. He was definitely my favourite.
It was nice to see Santa Claus’ relationship with Joe and Cornelia. It was also good to see the friendship that sprang up between the two children… despite how strange it was for Cornelia to call Joe, ‘Little boy’, when they were pretty much the same age.
I liked the reindeer in the film, though it was a bit disappointing that Rudolph wasn’t involved. There were a couple of things I felt weren’t really necessary/made things more convoluted than they needed to be.
There was really only one actor that I recognised in this film, though it was quite interesting to see him in a different role. This film is quite an old one, but the special effects weren’t bad, considering the time it was made in.
I watched this film with my niece and my sister and it was a good one to watch for Christmas, in my opinion. There were some really sweet moments in this, even if it was corny in some parts.
