I’ve seen quite a few dance movies now. The last one I saw at the cinema had a pretty big ending, so I couldn’t help wondering how they would handle it in this film.
I did feel there was quite a bit of personal conflict in this film, which I felt worked really well. It was also good to see the conflicts with the secondary characters, too.
I think there are certain cliches that dance movies tend to follow. This film did hit a lot of those, but even so, I felt it was a really entertaining movie to watch.
I haven’t watched enough of the previous movies to recognise most of the characters. There was one I knew, but although a lot of the characters weren’t explored, I could still understand and relate to the characters who were.
I really liked the dancing in this film. There were some very cool effects used throughout, like the dance that utilised a lab.
There were some quite sweet, emotional scenes in this film that really got to me, especially with the human-robot. I also really liked Moose’s relationship with his girlfriend… or possibly wife. I’m not quite sure which she was.
There were some really cool scenes in this film and although I probably wouldn’t buy it on DVD as soon as it comes out, I wouldn’t mind watching it again. If you like dance movies, I recommend this as one to watch.
