Although I don’t have much interest in Fifty Shades of Grey type novels, I did think the blurb of this book was quite intriguing.
Although there is a comment on the back of this book about it being like Fifty Shades of Grey, I liked the fact that there was an actual storyline in the book.
I felt the first person perspective worked really well to enable me to relate to the main character and it was nice that the author stuck with just one POV character.
I liked the way the relationship between the two main characters developed. I found it really believable. I also liked the erotic encounters between them – just as well, since it’s an erotic romance book. The only real problem I had was the use of a particular word. Because of the negative connotations associated with that word, it makes me cringe even in a sex scene.
It was nice to see Tyler and his friends as not quite the bad guys they came across as. Even though things weren’t completely great on the erotic side all the time, I didn’t get a creepy vibe on the consensual side.
I would probably read the other two books in this trilogy at some point in the future. Evan and Cole are interesting enough characters that it would be interesting to see how things go for them.
