This film was a little odd in that the adverts I saw for it had very little of the actual supernatural events from the film in them. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I went to see it.
The film title didn’t really seem to have much relevance, apart from one throwaway line over halfway through that I didn’t really get the purpose of.
I did struggle a lot to relate to the characters. There was something I thought might become relevant with Brian (the cameraman) later on, but although that particular item kept being panned towards by the camera, it didn’t seem to mean anything.
The actors did do a good job, to an extent, but I just found it really hard to care about the characters they portrayed. I would have liked to know a bit more about their history and what had brought them together.
There were some jumpy moments in the film and I did think that the music score was particularly effective. The filming within the film didn’t work so well, though. I’ve only seen that done well once before.
This film was kind of entertaining to watch, but not one I’d see again.
